DESCRIPTION OF BRIEF

Oppikoppi 2018’s brand challenge is to create a new festival theme, exemplifying what the festival stands for, what connection it has with South African culture and music, portrayed in a contemporary South African manner.

At festivals, like Oppikoppi, the everyday glitch between racial, cultural, gender or age differences disappear. Instead of being divided by their differences, festival

go-ers celebrate their differences together.

Oppikoppi 2018’s theme protects and promotes cultural diversity. Oppikoppi 2018 promotes community pride and cultural democracy, which inspires a vision of humanity and embraces all.

DESCRIPTION OF BRIEF
Parklife Johannesburg 2017 involved Vega School of Branding in a student initiative to design and create interactive installations for the festival go-ers and illustration murals.

Two illustrations were create and printed on vinyl for the festival. Patterns were designed that was spray painted on the festival furniture in the middle of Parklife’s food court. A large monster face-cutout was designed and painted, then mounted at the festivals as part of the Vega interactive installations.
